V-day gets a lot of mixed reviews. Some boycott the idea because cookie-cutter cards and cheesy chocolate hearts are unimaginative and let’s face it the people over at Hallmark are rich enough.

We tend to drive ourselves crazy during holidays like Christmas, baking cookies, wrapping gifts, and sometimes buying worthless junk. We believe that Valentine’s day can stand for something else, perhaps as a reminder that we need to make room for the L-word throughout the year and do something special for our significant other, for our friends or for ourselves.
